Sylvan Morein, D.D.S. – Tip-Edge Technique – When to Extract and When Not – Determinants
Dr. Morein will go over 16 cases covering mechanics and emphasizing diagnosis and treatment planning using cephs, diagnostic models, photos and FMX/panograph.
Sylvan Morein, D.D.S., IBO, graduated from Temple University Dental School, is a past president of the IAO and past president of the IBO Board of Examiners. He is an IAO Master Senior Certified Instructor and has been teaching orthodontic seminars since 1971. He currently presents seminars in South Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York City.

Jeffery Gerhardt, D.D.S. and Bert Vasut, D.D.S. – Mixed Dentition Analysis and Serial Extractions
Doctors Gerhardt and Vasut will address analysis of early mixed dentition, serial extractions, and how to avoid orthodontic problems using early treatment. They will cover how to analyze a mixed dentition case when serial extractions may be indicated through model and ceph analysis. If serial extractions are necessary they will go over which teeth to take out and at what age.
Jeffery Gerhardt, D.D.S., P.C., graduated from Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in San Antonio, Texas. In 1996 he opened his general practice in Cedar Park, Texas where he now limits his practice primarily to orthodontics. As a member of the Academy, he completed the 12-Session Comprehensive hands-on course in orthodontics in 1998 and currently teaches and hosts the Cedar Park, Texas hands-on course.
Bert Vasut, D.D.S., graduated from the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, with his DDS specializing in Pediatric Dentistry. In 1987 he opened a private practice of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics in Cedar Park, Texas. Dr. Vasut received his hands-on orthodontic training under AGpO instructor, Dr. Ron Austin and has been a clinical instructor at the Cedar Park, Texas site since 2005.

Trouble Shooting Session with AGpO Instructors
Join AGpO Instructors for a Tip-Edge troubleshooting session where attendees will set the agenda by submitting topics before the meeting. There will be time at the end of the session for attendees to bring cases from their practice for one-on-one consultation with one of the Academy Instructors.

Breakfast with the Expert – Charles Young, D.D.S. – TADs Update
Start the day with a breakfast buffet while listening to AGpO instructor Dr. Charles Young give an update on temporary anchorage devices.
Charles Young, D.D.S. has been practicing dentistry for 37 years, the first two years with the United States Army, and the last 35 years in private practice. For the past 30 years, he has been located in Collierville, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1971. Under the direction of Dr. Ron Austin, he began his Tip-Edge training in 2000 and has served as an AGpO instructor and host dentist for the last 8 years.
